Antonio De Santis was born in Italy on 1993. He received his diploma in Graphic design and Advertising on 2013, when he moved to London to work and live. Since then he focused his body of work on conceptual drawings, performances and photography.

He makes his artworks to let the audience confront with themselves and their sensations. In the project Egocentrifuga, noir series of pencil self-portarits, he challenges themes like nostalgia and sense of guilt to the past. The relation between love impetus and fear of death. Bipolarity of the western society. The detachment and split of the ego.

Antonio De Santis shows the sense of tragic in everyday life, questioning the connection with time and the impossibility of escaping death. As in the performance Everyday mantra executed for the Art maze exhibition on December 2016. The phrase ''everything is under control'' was written on three paper sheets obsessively for two hours. Whose at the end were cut apart. A strong melancholic vibe comes out, given by the repetition of the phrase and the destruction of the work. He states that the performance is the window where order and chaos meet up.

He believes that Art gets consistency in the mind. Thought is the raw material. And the commitment of the artist is to shape realities in the observer's world. To unveil feelings in a different context with a different form. Moving not the point of view, but the dimension around the viewer. Triggering reactions to expose our ambiguity and multiple truth.

His work has been exhibited in London for the #MEWS:2 group show. The Dark Arts exhibition. The Diffusion exhibition and the Art maze exhibition.

De Santis new body of work will consist in large scale conceptual drawings and live performances questioning the artistic carrier, the desire of affirmation. Sensuality and feminism.
